The excursion El Chaltén Full Day + Viewpoints is an experience of adventure tourism complete by the Patagonia. You will visit 213 km along the mythical Route 40 from El Calafate to El Chaltén, the national trekking capital, bordering the Lake Argentino and crossing the Santa Cruz Rivers y The Lioness.

With professional guides, you will visit the National Parks Visitor Center and you will perform a 1 hour guided walk at Viewpoint of the Condors, with spectacular views of the Mount Fitz Roy and the Cerro Torre. The day includes a stop at the historic Parador La Leona, lunch at Rancho Grande and visit to the waterfall Chorrillo del Salto, through native forests of the Andes Mountains.

  El Chaltén Full Day + Viewpoints Itinerary

  At the beginning, our team will pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate, starting the adventure to El Chaltén. You will enjoy a picturesque trip along the mythical Route 40, bordering Lake Argentino and crossing the imposing Santa Cruz and La Leona Rivers. The trip takes 2 ½ hours along 213km linking both towns. We will stop at the historic Parador La Leona to admire panoramic views of the Andes Mountains and the iconic Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre.

  Parador La Leona, located on the famous Route 40 in Patagonia Argentina, is much more than just a stop along the way. With a history dating back to the early 20th century, this iconic establishment has witnessed countless stories and adventures over the years that you will discover.

  At this stop, before arriving to El Chaltén, you will be able to contemplate the most impressive panoramic views of this picturesque town, where the imposing presence of Cerro Torre, the majestic Mount Fitz Roy and the iconic needles that surround them create a dream landscape.

  Arrival at El Chaltén, national trekking capital

  After driving 213 km, we will arrive in El Chaltén, where we will begin by exploring the National Parks Visitor Center. Here, you will learn about the history of the town and the famous surrounding hills. We will enjoy a 1-hour guided hike to the Mirador de los Cóndores, with magnificent views of the imposing Fitz Roy.

  Comfort lunch

  After the hike, we will recharge our batteries with a delicious lunch at Rancho Grande, one of the town's pioneer restaurants. With its rustic charm and cozy atmosphere, in the restaurant you will have a gastronomic experience focused on delicious homemade food to relax and recharge your batteries for the next activity.

  Towards Chorrillo del Salto waterfall

  The trail leading to Chorrillo del Salto is accessible and easy to walk. Along the trail, visitors can enjoy the scenery of native forests and mountains surrounding the waterfall.
