If you are traveling with your family or if it is your first time on a glacier → I chose Minitrekking. It is the most popular experience in El Calafate: 1 hour 15 minutes on ice, accessible from 8 years old, with medium difficulty. Ideal for a first experience on glacier ice without extreme demands. If you are looking for the ultimate adventure and you are in excellent physical shape → I chose Big Ice. It is a 4 hour walk into the heart of the glacier, exploring caves and lagoons that only 10 people per group can see. Requires 18-50 years old and good physical condition. If you have already done the Minitrekking and want to do more → I chose Minitrekking 2. It runs 6 km (twice as long as the classic) through less traveled areas of the glacier, including the Cascada de las Cotorras. Groups of maximum 10 people per guide. If you are traveling with small children or over 65 years of age → I chose Blue Safari. You do not walk on the ice but you sail in front of the south wall of the glacier and trek through the coastal forest. Suitable for all ages.Complement your trip
The Minitrekking takes a full day. These excursions combine perfectly with other days of your itinerary:
